Before Japan EF steel signed contracts on ferroalloys products, suppliers showed wait-and-see attitude towards market on worrying about yen devaluation. Considering FeSi products, Chinese FeSi price continued to fall since in March. Due to shortage of FeSi products, sellers improved prices. There were still low FeSi products from Vietnam in Japan market and its quotation was USD1,340-1,370/mt. FeSi products imported from China was above USD1,500/mt. there were big gaps between FeSi prices which made Japan market disordered. Influenced by this, FeSi transaction was hard to make in Russia.
